Biography:

Sally M. ElGhamrawy is the Head of Communications & Computer Engineering Department and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development at MISR higher Institute for Engineering & Technology and part time Associate Professor at Electrical & Computers Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, British University in Egypt BUE and at computers engineering department -Faculty of engineering, Mansoura University in Egypt. She received a Ph.D. degree in 2012 in Distributed Decision Support Systems Based on Multi Intelligent Agents and received a M. SC degree in Automatic Control Systems Engineering in 2006 from computers engineering department -Faculty of engineering, Mansoura University, and received B. Sc. in Computers Engineering and Systems in 2003.  She received the State Award 2021– Women Encouragement award in the field of Energy, Water, Environmental and Engineering Sciences. She received the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils Prize 2019 – in the field of artificial intelligence.  She is a certified reviewer at the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education. She had been promoted to Associate Professor with scientific excellence with 98% grade. She is also a Senior IEEE Member.
A Reviewer for different Highly ranked International Journals such as Expert Systems with Applications(Elsevier), Information Sciences(Elsevier), IEEE access, the Journal of Supercomputing (Springer), Grid Computing(Elsevier) and Evolutionary Intelligence (Springer). She is an Editor for number of International books published by Springer International Publishing. She is also an Editorial Review Board for different international journals: International Journal of Ambient Computing and Intelligence Published by IGI Global. She had authored many Journal articles in reputed and prestigious peer-reviewed journals including Future Generation Computer Systems (Elsevier), IEEE Access, and Grid Computing (Springer), receiving best paper awards. She is a senior member in Scientific Research Group in Egypt. She is delivering lectures, supervising graduation projects, master’s thesis, and doctoral dissertations. She was delivering lectures and gave practical training in the grants from the Ministry of Communications and information technology with collaboration with IBM. She received a certificate A+ International Inc. CompTIA.  She is the author of number peer-reviewed publications, receiving best paper awards.She is a Reviewer in the judging committee for the International competition NASA Space Apps Hackathon 2019 held on the American University in Cairo AUC.  A Judge in the Egyptian Engineering Day under the supervision of IEEE Egypt Young Professionals. She participates in a number of international research projects funded by several international universities in cooperation with the Scientific Research group in Egypt 
Her research focuses on Artificial Intelligence techniques, Hybridization of different machine learning techniques, Big Data analysis, No-SQL databases, Artificial Neural Networks, Optimization algorithms, Wireless Networks, network security, intelligent environment applications, Biomedical and software engineering.
